Our Home Building Process
Journey Homes prides itself on operating at the leading edge of what’s relevant in the luxury home building industry. We listen to our client’s wants and needs in order to craft an exciting experience on your journey of building your new home.
Luxury Home Consultation
In this initial phase, you will be meeting with our Journey Homes team to define the expectations for your project. We discuss your luxury home ideas, build plans, the features you need and the features you want, along with the finishes you wish to see throughout.
We also take the time to cover your budget as well as any important issues before the preliminary site visit. With all of this information, we will be able to determine if Journey Homes is the right match for you and your future dream home.
Your Home’s Contract & Financing
This is the point in the process where you are able to review everything for accuracy and make sure that your final plans are what you had envisioned. After you give your final approval on the project contract, we commit to starting on this journey together.
During this stage, we can partner you with one of our outstanding lenders. We have built strong relationships with some fantastic lenders in the Greater San Antonio area and they are ready to find the perfect financing for your new home.
Your Personalized Selections
Here’s where the real excitement begins! We will sit down and review our expertly curated selection of luxury home plans that we have perfected throughout years of building with homeowners’ feedback. You have the opportunity to ask questions about any of our designs and work through which would be the perfect fit for you and your family.
With your home design selected, you will then meet with one of our designers to guide you through the path of choosing your features, finishes, color pallets, and other selections at our design center in San Antonio.

Home Construction Begins
The construction process begins with the commencement of physical construction activities, including site preparation and structural work.
Inspections and walk-throughs are conducted at critical junctures to ensure compliance with plans and quality standards
Homeowner Walk-Through
We’re almost there!
This is the day that you are able to walk your home as a finished product and really see how all of your hard work has paid off.
Homeowner Orientation
This is it!
We complete your new home orientation and closing process. We help make sure that your utilities are all ready to go and explain any of the mechanical operations of your new home.
You will also be enrolled in our 1-2-10 Warranty Plan for peace of mind and you and your family can begin enjoying your beautiful new home.
